FAQ
What is your policy?
Any organization that provides contingency contracts is eligible to apply for Road Foundation’s assistance to assist the individuals choosing to enter into this type of contract. The organization will fill out an application that will be reviewed during board member meetings. During this meeting a decision will be made if the organization qualifies for support. Preferences will be given to women and minority owned businesses. Road Foundation will also support and the costs of treatment for people unable to afford these fees that are accessing care at a practice that requires contingency contracts.
Where do donations, grants, and funds go?
All proceeds will go into contingency contracts, co-pays, prescriptions, and visits of patients.
how will The contingency contracts work?
The patient will form a contract with a company that implements contingency contracts. The person will put in dollars every week, and Road Foundation will match the dollars, working towards a goal they set at the contract formation. For example, the person may decide to set a goal of not using non-prescribed opioids for one-year. If, for one year, they have testing which does not show other opioids, they will receive the earnings at the end of the contract. If they do not, the money assists other patients or even them for another goal.
how will we ensure The money helps patients?
At the end of the contingency contract term, if the patient has successfully completed their goal, the earnings will be available to them to use for a social-benefit. What does that mean? It means we will use the funds to pay for things such as rent, child support, tuition- things that help build foundations for the person’s life. If the patient does not complete their end (their goal), any funds collected will used to aid another patient.
What kind of donations do you accept? how will you accept them?
We only accept monetary donations. All donated dollars will be used for direct support of low income people who have successfully met individualized goals.
